Making memories is worth a thousand words!
"Photography to me is catching a moment which is passing, once photographed, the subject becomes part of the past."  - Melissa Wilkinson
Capturing the moments!

Indian Creek Siuslaw National Forest oregon
We here at the Royal German Shepherds are please to announce that Melissa Wilkinson has officially with us. She has captured many pictures of our German Shepherds in the past, she has a talent and it shows in all the pictures she has made for us. She has shown to have quite the eye when it comes to photography.

She is wonderful with our dogs, first she gets all her Stuff ready and lets our dogs get used to the camera. The click and flash of the camera can rattle the dogs at first, so she lets them sniff, then starts casually shooting the surroundings. Once our German Shepherds are used to the camera she starts to begin making our moments..

Her Idea is keeping things natural and relaxed for them. she captures lots of pictures for us to choice from.

Our working dogs have lots of drive and desire to work, even if they don't yet know how to work, its in their blood to literally.
Certain traits are preferred in certain breeds, and therefore, those traits are bred for, and they show up instinctively as the German Shepherds goes about its business, undistracted by her.

Our Royal German Shepherds are very focused on doing their jobs, but just as aware of their environment, so she blends into the scene, rather than stand out and distract them.
she says "I feel a truly successful photo is one that also brings out emotion in the person who views the pictures. There one thing I have learned in the past is, If my spirit isn't stirred by the image, no one else's will. I want to make people smile, and say "WOW!" capturing the right moment is in my passion. I want to have a impact image, one that people cannot put out of their minds and will tell other's about."

We are so happy to have these to share with people. Here we feel we want to capture every moment with our Little ones before they go to there forever home and thanks to her we can look back and see the beauty of God's creation. We think Melissa does a wonderful job..
